Getting there

Smooth arrivals. Zero airport chaos.

✈️

Flight deck

Guests will share their airline, flight number, local arrival and departure times, and number of travelers once itineraries are finalized.

Koh Samui's airport code is USM. Many itineraries connect through Bangkok, Singapore or Hong Kong.

A centralized flight-information form is coming. Flight confirmation uploads aren't active yet.

🚘

Private car service

We'll arrange private car service for airport arrivals and departures once everyone's flight itineraries are finalized.

We'll coordinate pick-up times, vehicle sizes and luggage so guests arrive at the villa comfortably, even if we're on different flights.

No need to arrange your own airport ride just yet; transportation details will follow closer to the trip.

Passport & entry

U.S. passport holders should have at least six months of passport validity beyond their arrival date. Travelers using other passports should check their own requirements.

Thailand currently requires non-Thai visitors to complete a free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within the three days before arriving. We'll remind everyone nearer departure; don't pay a third-party site for it.

Entry policies can change before summer 2027, so check again shortly before flying.

🩺

Vaccines & staying healthy

CDC guidance for Thailand highlights:

  • Routine vaccines (including MMR and tetanus) and current COVID-19 recommendations.
  • Hepatitis A for unvaccinated travelers; typhoid for most travelers.
  • Hepatitis B for many unvaccinated travelers.
  • Japanese encephalitis only for some longer, rural or higher-exposure itineraries.

For a typical Koh Samui resort trip, malaria-prevention pills generally aren't recommended. Mosquito repellent is still important.

Arrange a travel-health visit at least a month before travel to review your own history, activities and any needed doses.

Staying connected

Your phone can come to paradise, too.

Choose the easiest route: roam on your existing U.S. plan, or use a Thai tourist eSIM. Here are the options we found directly from the carriers.

AT&T

$12 / day

International Day Pass · $6 for an additional eligible line used the same day

Use talk, text and data from your qualifying domestic plan while abroad.

Set it up: Add International Day Pass to each traveling line in your AT&T account before departure. On arrival, enable Data Roaming.

Verizon

$12 / 24 hours

TravelPass · per line · 5GB high-speed data, then reduced speeds

Set it up: Text TRAVEL to 4004 or add TravelPass in My Verizon; enable roaming abroad. Background app data can trigger a paid day.

T-Mobile

Included on many plans

Your high-speed data allowance depends on your plan

Some plans include up to 5GB or 15GB of high-speed international data, plus texting; calls are typically $0.50/min without a pass.

Need more? International Passes: $10 for 1 day / 2GB; $50 for 10 days / 15GB; $75 for 30 days / 30GB.

Set it up: Check benefits for your line, or add a pass through the T-Life app before your travel date.

Thai tourist SIM / eSIM: usually the budget choice

AIS: 8-day tourist eSIM at 499 baht, advertised with unlimited max-speed 5G/4G data. Buy online or at an AIS store.

dtac: 8-day tourist eSIM at 299 baht, with 15GB at maximum speed and other data at reduced speed. Also available as a physical SIM.

eSIM setup tip: Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Install the travel eSIM while you have Wi-Fi, set it as your cellular-data line in Thailand, and turn off data roaming on your U.S. line if you don't want accidental home-carrier charges. Keep your U.S. line active only if you understand its voice and SMS roaming rules.

Published carrier rates checked October 2026. Confirm your exact plan, Thailand coverage, taxes and the current rates before departure in 2027. Thai SIM offers are priced in baht by local providers.

Last-minute essentials

A little preparation. A lot less scrambling.

🧳

What to pack

Swimwear, lightweight breathable clothes, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, comfortable shoes, any needed medication and something nice for group dinners.

Thailand uses 220V power and a mixture of plug shapes; check your device chargers and bring an adapter if needed.
